Texan Style Pork Back Ribs and Mushrooms on Toast

Portions: 2 large or 4 smaller

Ingredients List

For the toast:

  • 1 box of St-Hubert Texan Style Pork Back Ribs, fresh (625 g) or frozen (680 g)
  • 2 slices of country-style bread, cut 1-inch thick
  • ½ cup of cheddar cheese, grated

For the stir-fried mushrooms:

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 French shallot, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation Instructions

  1. Cook the ribs according to the instructions on the box. Cut out the bones and chop the meat into smaller pieces. Set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a non-stick pan over high heat, stir fry the mushrooms for 20 minutes or until all the water has evaporated.
  3. Add the garlic, shallot, parsley and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  4. Place the two slices of bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Garnish each slice with ¼ cup of cheddar.
  5. Bake in the oven at 425 °F until cheese is melted.
  6. Then pile the meat and mushrooms on the toast and enjoy!

  • For maximum freshness, serve immediately.
