Hot Chicken Croutons au Gratin

Ingredients List

  • 1 can of 14 oz (398 ml) St-Hubert Original or 25% Less Salt Hot Chicken Sandwich Homestyle Gravy 
  • 4 large slices of crusty bread
  • 2 c (500 ml) pulled cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c (125 ml) frozen peas
  • 1 ½ c (375 ml) grated mozzarella

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 °F (230 °C).
  2. Place bread slices on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  3. Reheat chicken and sauce in microwave.
  4. Place peas in a glass bowl, cover with water and microwave for 2 minutes. Drain.
  5. Turn bread slices over and cover with sauce.
  6. Top with chicken, peas, sauce and finish with cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is golden.
  7. Serve with remaining sauce.
