Every Sunday at lunchtime, several St-Hubert rotisseries welcome autistic people and their families in a favourable environment. This initiative helps create optimal dining experience for everyone. It is being carried out with the support and guidance of Giant Steps, a leader in education of autistic individuals, training, and inclusion advocates for over 40 years.
Staff at these five restaurants have received training to better meet the needs of autistic people and their families. By dimming the lights for instance, turning down the music, offering preferred seating and providing sensory kits upon request. A virtual tour of a typical rotisserie and various support tools are available online.
